坎上 · 坤下Water over Earth
卦辞The Judgement
比：吉。原筮，元永贞，无咎。不宁方来，后夫凶。Bǐ. Good fortune. Examine the divination: sublime, lasting, steadfast, and upright. No fault. The restless come from all sides. The latecomer: misfortune.
亲近、合作、抱团是当下的关键。下坤为土，居西南；上坎为水，居北方。水在地上流，土吸水、水润土——不是谁吃掉谁，是互相需要。先想清楚自己是谁、能贡献什么，再去找同类。一旦决定加入或合作，就要尽早行动——坤土厚重，坎水流动，土不主动，水就流走了，犹豫拖延的人会被甩在后面。
This is the time for closeness, cooperation, banding together. The lower trigram Kūn is Earth, in the southwest; the upper trigram Kǎn is Water, in the north. Water flows over the land; earth drinks the water, water moistens the earth — not one devouring the other, but each needing the other. First be clear about who you are and what you can offer; then go find people of your kind. Once you decide to join or partner up, act early — Kūn's Earth is heavy and still, Kǎn's Water keeps moving; if the earth won't act, the water flows away — those who hesitate get left behind.
大象The Image
《象》曰：地上有水，比；先王以建万国，亲诸侯。Water rests upon the earth: the image of Holding Together. The ancient kings, accordingly, founded the many states and drew the princes close.
六爻The Six Lines
初六，有孚比之，无咎；有孚盈缶，终来有它，吉。With sincerity, seeking union. No fault. Sincerity filling the earthen vessel. In the end, something more comes. Good fortune.
用真诚和信用作为合作的基础，不耍心机、不藏算计。坤土初爻，土性敦厚——用最朴素的方式接住水流。看似笨拙，其实最稳。诚意足够，意外的好运会找上门。
Base your partnerships on real sincerity and trust — no scheming, no hidden calculation. Kūn's Earth, first line, honest and plain by nature — catching the flowing water in the simplest way. It looks clumsy, but it's the most stable foundation. With enough good faith, unexpected fortune will find its way to you.
六二，比之自内，贞吉。Seeking union from within. Steadfast and upright: good fortune.
主动从内部、从亲近的人那里建立连接和合作。六二阴爻居中守正，坤土正位——土的力量在自己人身上最能发挥。不要舍近求远——身边的人才是最重要的依靠。守住本心，关系自然稳固。
Actively build close connections from the inside — with those nearest to you. The second line, yin, centered and upright, Kūn's Earth in its true place — the strength of earth works best among your own people. Don't chase distant ties at the expense of nearby ones. The people right next to you are your real support. Hold to who you are, and the bond stays steady.
六三，比之匪人。Seeking union with the wrong people.
正在和不该亲近的人靠得太近——三观不合、动机有问题、人品有疑。六三阴爻失位，不中不正——土遇浊水，被污染了。继续走下去会受伤。果断疏远，不要心软。
You're getting too close to people you shouldn't — wrong values, wrong motives, wrong character. The third line, yin, out of place, neither centered nor correct — earth meeting muddied water, and getting contaminated. Stay on this path and it will hurt you. Pull back firmly; don't let sympathy override your judgment.
六四，外比之，贞吉。Seeking union from without. Steadfast and upright: good fortune.
向外发展、对外结盟正是时候。六四阴爻进入坎卦——土入水中，向外伸展。跟随有德有能的领导者或更广阔的圈子，能让你成长更快。守住自己的位置和原则即可。
Now is the time to look outward — make alliances, join a larger circle. The fourth line, yin, enters Kǎn — earth moving into the water, reaching outward. Following capable, principled leaders or moving into a wider sphere will accelerate your growth. Just keep your own place and your own principles.
九五，显比；王用三驱，失前禽，邑人不诫，吉。An illustrious union. The king drives game from three sides, letting those in front escape. Townspeople feel no need to be on guard. Good fortune.
作为带头人或核心位置，九五阳爻居中，坎水正位——水光明亮，普润大地，要光明正大地与人合作——不强求、不操控、来去随意。给空间反而能聚人心。
As leader or anchor of a group, the fifth line, yang, centered, Kǎn's Water in its true place — the water clear and bright, moistening all the land, work with people openly and fairly — no coercion, no manipulation, no clinging. Let people come and go freely. Giving space is what holds hearts together.
上六，比之无首，凶。Seeking union without taking the first step. Misfortune.
在合作或团队中迟迟没有立场、找不到自己的位置——上六阴爻居坎之极，水到尽头还没找到附着的土——漂流无根，这种状态最危险，可能被边缘化或彻底排除在外。要尽早表态、尽早入局。
In a partnership or team, drifting too long without a position — the top line, yin, at the extreme of Kǎn — the water reaches its end still without earth to settle on, rootless and adrift — neither in nor out — is the most dangerous place. You can end up edged out, or shut out entirely. Make your stand early; commit early.
