The I Ching — the Book of Changes, or Yijing — is one of the oldest Chinese classics, taking shape some 3,000 years ago. Its starting idea is that nothing stays still: day turns to night, things grow and decline, and change itself follows patterns. For three thousand years, rulers, scholars and ordinary people have turned to it when facing a decision or a doubt, not to learn a fixed fate, but to see their situation more clearly.

《易经》（又称《周易》）是中国最古老的经典之一，成书于约三千年前。它的出发点是：万物都在变，日夜交替、盛衰往复，而变化本身有规律可循。三千年来，从君王、学者到普通人，遇到抉择或困惑时都会求问于它，不是为了知道既定的命运，而是为了把眼前的处境看得更清楚。

The book is built from 64 hexagrams: stacks of six solid (yang) or broken (yin) lines, each a picture of a situation, from a fresh start or a partnership to difficulty and renewal. Each comes with a short Judgment and six line texts. Traditionally you cast one by tossing coins or sorting yarrow stalks, then read the text it points to.

全书由 六十四卦 组成：每卦六爻，阳爻为实线、阴爻为断线；每一卦描绘一种处境，从开端、合作，到困难与转机。每卦配有卦辞和六条爻辞。传统上，人们用铜钱或蓍草起卦，再读卦象所指的那条辞。
