卦辞The Judgement
损：有孚，元吉，无咎，可贞，利有攸往。曷之用？二簋可用享。Sǔn. With sincerity, sublime good fortune, no fault. Fit to be steadfast and upright. Favorable to have somewhere to go. How is it to be used? Two simple bowls of food are enough for the offering.
需要做减法——减少欲望、减少消耗、减少多余的东西。艮山在上属土居东北——泽水在山的脚下，水被山吸上去，下面少了，上面多了。土生金，山吸干了泽，泽愿意给——这是心甘情愿的“损”。损不是失去，是为了更专注于核心。少即是多——舍得舍，才能得真正想要的。
It's a time to subtract — fewer desires, less waste, less excess. the upper trigram Gèn is Mountain, element Earth, in the northeast — the lake lies at the mountain's foot, its water drawn up into the mountain: less below, more above. Earth generates Metal: the mountain draws the lake dry, and the lake gives willingly — a reduction made with a willing heart. Reduction is not loss; it's about focusing on the core. Less is more — only by being willing to let go can you get what you truly want.
大象The Image
《象》曰：山下有泽，损；君子以惩忿窒欲。A lake at the foot of the mountain: the image of Decrease. The noble one, accordingly, restrains his anger and curbs his desires.
六爻The Six Lines
初九，已事遄往，无咎；酌损之。Setting aside one's own affairs and hurrying forward. No fault. But weigh how much to reduce.
刚结束的事就赶紧投入下一个——，不必拖延。但也要把握分寸——付出多少要看自己的能力，不能透支。
As soon as one thing is done, throw yourself straight into the next — no need to delay. But mind the proportion: how much you give should match what you can afford; don't overdraw yourself.
九二，利贞，征凶；弗损益之。Favorable to be steadfast and upright. Going forward: misfortune. Without reducing, increase it.
守住正道——，不必去主动减损，也不必去主动增益。维持现状反而是最佳。
Hold to the right path — no need to actively cut, no need to actively add. Keeping the status quo is the best move.
六三，三人行，则损一人；一人行，则得其友。Three walking together lose one; one walking alone gains a companion.
三个人一起走会减损一人，一个人独行会得到朋友——，人际关系的微妙规律。圈子大了反而稀释，独行反而专注。
Three walking together lose one; one walking alone gains a friend — the subtle law of human relations. A circle grown too large dilutes; going alone concentrates.
六四，损其疾，使遄有喜，无咎。Reduce one's ailment; let help come swiftly. There is rejoicing, no fault.
减少自己身上的毛病、坏习惯——艮山初爻，山脚开始吸水的毛病——先从自己的毛病减起，减得越快越好，这种减损能让自己快速恢复。果断行动、立刻改正，吉。
Cutting down your own faults, your bad habits — Gèn's Mountain, first line, the fault at the foot of the mountain where it starts to drink the water — cut your own faults first, the faster the better — this kind of reduction lets you recover fast. Act decisively, correct at once: good fortune.
六五，或益之十朋之龟，弗克违，元吉。Perhaps increased by a tortoise worth ten pairs of shells, which cannot be refused. Sublime good fortune.
意外的厚重赏赐（十朋之龟）——艮山居中，山体最厚——山吸了水之后，反而得到了天降的宝贝，是天上掉下来的好运。不要怀疑，接受就好。
An unexpected, weighty gift (a tortoise worth ten pairs of shells) — Gèn's Mountain centered, the body of the mountain at its thickest — having drawn up the water, it receives in return a treasure dropped from heaven — fortune dropped from heaven. Don't doubt it; just accept it.
上九，弗损益之；无咎，贞吉，利有攸往，得臣无家。Without reducing, increase it. No fault. Steadfast and upright: good fortune. Favorable to have somewhere to go. Gain followers beyond the limits of one household.
不再“减损”了——艮山到极处，山已到顶——不再吸泽水了，反而往下灌溉，增益四方，反而是增益。能做到这一步的人，吉、利、有大志气得偿。
No more reducing — Gèn's Mountain at its extreme, the mountain at its peak — no longer drawing up the lake, but watering down instead, enriching all around — now it's pure increase. The one who reaches this stage finds good fortune, benefit, and the will fulfilled in full.
