卦辞The Judgement
习坎：有孚，维心亨；行有尚。Kǎn doubled. Sincerity is present, and the heart wins through. To act will be honored.
陷入重重险境——一个坑接着一个坑。坎居北方，五行属水——双坎相叠，水连着水，深不见底。北方是“劳乎坎”之位，是万物归藏前最辛苦的一关。这时最重要的是内心保持诚信和定力——心不乱，路就有。慌张、投机、抄近路只会让你陷得更深。坚持向前、保持原则，终能脱险。
You're caught in layered danger — one pit after another. Kǎn sits in the north, element Water — two Kǎn stacked, water upon water, deep beyond seeing. The north is the place of "toil in Kǎn," the hardest pass that all things cross before returning to the store. What matters most now is keeping sincerity and steadiness inside — if the heart doesn't panic, a way exists. Panic, gambling, shortcuts only sink you deeper. Push on, hold your principles, and you will get clear in the end.
大象The Image
《象》曰：水洊至，习坎；君子以常德行，习教事。Water arrives wave upon wave: the image of the Abyss repeated. The noble one, accordingly, keeps his conduct constant and practices the work of teaching.
六爻The Six Lines
初六，习坎，入于坎窞，凶。Layered danger. Falling into a pit within a pit. Misfortune.
已经掉进了深坑里——坎水初爻——一脚踩进深渊，底下还有个更深的坑，情况确实很糟。这时不要再乱动，先认清处境再说。挣扎只会让自己陷得更深。
You've already fallen into a deep pit — Kǎn's Water, first line — one step into the abyss, and a deeper pit below it — the situation truly is bad. Now is not the time to thrash around; first understand where you stand. Struggling only sinks you further.
九二，坎有险，求小得。In the pit, there is danger. Seek small gains; obtain them.
在险境中能找到出路、有所收获——坎水中唯一的阳爻——深水里有一块礁石，踩上去能喘口气，但只是小的、阶段性的胜利。不要因为小成就就以为脱险了，路还长。
In the danger you can find a way out and make some gains — the one yang line within Kǎn — a rock in the deep water you can step onto for a breath — but only small, partial wins. Don't mistake a small success for being out of the danger; the road is still long.
六三，来之坎坎，险且枕，入于坎窞，勿用。Coming or going, danger upon danger; danger, so just rest. Fallen into a pit within a pit. Do not act.
前后都是险境，进退两难——坎水到了三爻——前面是水，后面也是水，枕头都是湿的，这种时候不要再行动了。坐下来、不动、等待时机。乱动是最大的错。
Danger ahead and danger behind, no way forward or back — Kǎn's Water at the third line — water in front, water behind, even the pillow is soaked — at a time like this, stop acting. Sit down, stay still, wait for the moment. Thrashing about is the worst mistake.
六四，樽酒，簋贰，用缶，纳约自牖，终无咎。A jug of wine, two bowls of food, served in plain earthenware. The pledge passed simply through the window. In the end, no fault.
用最朴素、最真诚的方式与重要的人沟通——坎水虽深，但四爻已近水面——递一杯酒、用瓦罐盛物，从窗户递进去，简单但心意真，形式简单但心意真。在困境中，真诚比形式重要。
Communicating with someone important in the plainest, most sincere way — Kǎn's Water is deep, but the fourth line is near the surface — a cup of wine, food in a clay jar, passed in through the window: simple, but the feeling is true — a cup of wine, food in a clay pot. Simple in form, true in feeling. In hardship, sincerity matters more than ceremony.
九五，坎不盈，祗既平，无咎。The pit is not yet full; the water reaches only level. No fault.
险境快要平复了——坎水居中——水面快平了，虽然还没满，但不再涨了，危机的程度在下降，但还没完全过去。继续保持谨慎，不要太早松气。
The danger is nearly leveled out — Kǎn's Water centered — the surface nearly level; not yet full, but no longer rising — its severity is dropping, but it hasn't quite passed. Keep being careful; don't ease up too soon.
上六，系用徽，寘于丛棘，三岁不得，凶。Bound with cords, shut into a thicket of thorns. For three years, no release. Misfortune.
被深度困住——坎水到极处——被绳子绑着扔进荆棘丛里，三年都解不开，三年都解脱不了。如果不及早醒悟、寻求帮助，会真的陷入长期困境。困境最忌长期化。
Trapped deep, Kǎn's Water at its extreme — bound with ropes and thrown into the thorn thicket, no untangling for three years — with no release for three years. If you don't wake up early and seek help, you really will fall into a long-term trap. The worst thing in hardship is letting it become permanent.
