卦辞The Judgement
复：亨。出入无疾，朋来无咎；反复其道，七日来复。利有攸往。Fù. Prosperous and smooth. Going out and coming in without distress; friends arrive without fault. The way turns back upon itself: in seven days, the return. Favorable to have somewhere to go.
事物到了底部开始反弹——一阳来复，转机出现了。震雷在下属木居东方，坤土在上属土居西南——雷藏在地下，阳气刚从地底冒出来。木克土，但此刻木刚发芽，土还压着——力量虽小，但方向是往上。这是重新开始、回到正轨的最好时机。但反弹是渐进的，不要急——慢慢恢复，会有持久的好。
Things have bottomed out and begun to rebound — a single yang returns, the turn appears. The lower trigram Zhèn is Thunder, element Wood, in the east; the upper trigram Kūn is Earth, in the southwest — thunder hidden underground, the yang-energy just rising from beneath the soil. Wood checks Earth, but right now the wood is only sprouting and the earth still presses down — the force is small, but the direction is upward. This is the best moment to start over, to get back on the right track. But the rebound is gradual — don't rush; recover slowly, and the good will last.
大象The Image
《象》曰：雷在地中，复；先王以至日闭关，商旅不行，后不省方。Thunder lies within the earth: the image of Return. The ancient kings, accordingly, closed the passes at the solstice; merchants and travelers did not move, and the ruler did not tour the regions.
六爻The Six Lines
初九，不远复，无祗悔，元吉。Turning back before going far. No cause for regret. Sublime good fortune.
走错了路但很快意识到、马上回头——震雷初爻，一阳初动——刚迈错脚就收回，脚趾还没踩实，这是最好的状态。错误本身不可怕，可怕的是不及时纠正。早回头，损失最小。
Took a wrong turn but caught it fast and came straight back — Zhèn's Thunder, first line, the single yang first stirring — the foot pulled back the instant it stepped wrong, the toe not yet planted — the best state. The mistake itself isn't the danger; failing to correct it in time is. Turn back early, lose the least.
六二，休复，吉。A beautiful return. Good fortune.
选择跟随好人、好榜样回到正道——坤土居中——大地最稳的地方，跟着土走不会迷路，这是最舒服、最容易的回头方式。不需要独自挣扎，跟对人就行。
Choosing to follow good people and good examples back to the right path — Kūn's Earth centered — the steadiest ground; follow the earth and you won't lose your way — the easiest, most comfortable way to return. No need to struggle alone; just stay close to the right person.
六三，频复，厉无咎。Returning again and again. Adversity. No fault.
反复地走错又反复地回头——坤土到三爻——地面开始不平，坑坑洼洼，摔了爬、爬了摔，虽然有风险，但只要每次都肯回来，就没有大问题。屡错屡改，比一错到底强。
Going wrong and turning back, over and over — Kūn's Earth at the third line — the ground turns uneven, full of dips and holes, falling and rising and falling again — there's risk, but as long as you keep coming back each time, no big harm. Erring and mending repeatedly beats erring all the way through.
六四，中行独复。Walking the central path, returning alone.
在大家都迷失的情况下，独自坚守正道并回头——坤土厚重，别人都随波逐流了，这块土还定着，孤独但有价值。同流合污容易，独自清醒难——但难才珍贵。
When everyone around has lost their way, holding to the right path and turning back alone — Kūn's Earth heavy and thick — the others all drift with the current, but this patch of ground stays fixed — lonely, but valuable. Going along with the crowd is easy; staying clear-eyed alone is hard — and what's hard is what's precious.
六五，敦复，无悔。A sincere return. No regret.
用真诚厚重的心态来回头——坤土正中心——土最厚的地方，回头也回得最扎实，不是表面认错，而是从根上反省自己。这种深刻的反省，才能让人真正“无悔”。
Turning back with a sincere, weighty heart — Kūn's Earth at the very center — the thickest part of the earth, and the return is the most solid — not surface contrition, but reflection that reaches the root of yourself. This depth of self-examination is what lets a person truly have "no regret."
上六，迷复，凶，有灾眚。用行师，终有大败；以其国，君凶：至于十年不克征。A confused return. Misfortune. There is calamity and disaster. To use it for marching armies brings, in the end, a great defeat; for the state, the ruler meets misfortune; for ten years, unable to march again.
迷失太深、回不来了——坤土到极处——土崩了，地陷了，找不到回去的路，这是最坏的状态。错过了所有反省的机会，结果是大败、长期的损失，多年都难翻身。
Lost too deep to come back — Kūn's Earth at its extreme — the earth crumbles, the ground gives way, no road back to be found — the worst state. Every chance to reflect has been missed, and the result is crushing defeat and long loss, years before recovery is even possible.
