卦辞The Judgement
坤：元，亨，利牝马之贞。君子有攸往，先迷；后得主，利。西南得朋，东北丧朋。安贞吉。Kūn. Sublime and initiative. Prosperous and smooth. Favorable with a mare's steadfastness. The superior person has somewhere to go: taking the lead, he goes astray; following, he finds his master, and there is benefit. To the southwest, he gains friends; to the northeast, he loses friends. To remain calm and steadfast brings good fortune.
顺势而为，不抢先、不逞强是当下最佳策略。坤居西南，五行属土——土主承载，不主开创。不要主导，配合主线走才能受益。同伴能带你上路（西南得朋）——西南是坤的本位，厚土遇厚土，同类相聚，独自蛮干会陷入困境（东北丧朋）——东北是艮位，高山阻隔，土遇山则止。安静守正、踏实承接，自有所得。
Going with the current — not pushing to the front, not forcing your strength — is the right strategy now. Kūn sits in the southwest, its element Earth — Earth bears and carries; it does not initiate. Don't try to lead; align with the main current and you'll benefit. Companions will carry you forward ("southwest, gains friends") — the southwest is Kūn's own home: thick earth meeting thick earth, like gathering like — going it alone will trap you ("northeast, loses friends") — the northeast is Gèn, the mountain that blocks: earth meeting mountain comes to a halt. Stay quiet, stay upright, accept your role steadily, and what you need will come to you.
大象The Image
《象》曰：地势坤；君子以厚德载物。The earth's disposition is yielding receptivity. The noble one, accordingly, carries all things with a generous, sustaining virtue.
六爻The Six Lines
初六，履霜，坚冰至。Treading on hoarfrost — solid ice is coming.
察觉到的小苗头，往往会演变成大问题。坤土初爻，阴寒始凝——五行水气初生，若不堵住，水旺土冻，就是坚冰。今天的小信号——关系的微妙变化、工作中的隐性矛盾、身体的小不适——都不是偶然。早一步注意、早一步应对，才不会等到坚冰难破时才追悔。
Small signs you notice now will grow into large problems later. Kūn's first line of Earth, the cold yin just beginning to congeal — the Water-vapor is newly born; left unchecked, water thrives and earth freezes into solid ice. A subtle shift in a relationship, a quiet tension at work, a small ache in your body — none of these are random. Catch them early, respond early, and you won't be facing solid ice with no way through.
六二，直方大，不习无不利。Straight, square, great. Without effort, nothing is unfavorable.
保持本心的正直、坦荡和大气就够了，不需要刻意伪装或迎合。坤土居中守正，厚德载物——土性本来就直、方、大。你不必学复杂的处世技巧——做一个简单、磊落、心胸开阔的人，自然顺利。
Keep your own integrity, your own openness, your own breadth — that's enough. Kūn's Earth centered and upright, its ample virtue bearing all — earth is by nature straight, square, and vast. You don't need to wear masks or learn elaborate social tactics. Be a simple, upright, large-hearted person, and things will go smoothly on their own.
六三，含章可贞；或从王事，无成有终。Containing one's brilliance, one can hold steadfast. Perhaps serving a king's work: claim no credit, but see it through to the end.
有才华但不要外露，坤土含金——金藏在土里，不拿出来才是宝贝，参与重要事务时甘当配角、不抢功劳。真正的好结果会留给那些把功劳让给别人的人。你越是低调，最终的回报反而越扎实。
Have the talent but don't flaunt it. Earth holding Metal within — the metal hidden in the earth, kept out of sight, is exactly what makes it treasure. When you take part in important work, be willing to play the supporting role and let credit fall to others. The truly good results will land with those who give credit away. The lower your profile, the more solid the eventual reward.
六四，括囊，无咎无誉。Tying up the sack. No fault, no praise.
现在不是发表意见、参与争论的时候。坤土遇重阴，四爻上下皆阴——如口袋收紧，开口即泄。少说话、不站队、不评论敏感人事。这段时期换不来表扬，但能让你安全度过暗礁丛生的环境。
This isn't the time to voice opinions or join debates. Kūn's Earth amid layered yin, the fourth line with yin above and below — like a sack drawn tight: open the mouth and it spills. Speak less, take no sides, comment on nothing sensitive. You won't earn praise during this stretch, but you'll get through a stretch of water full of hidden rocks.
六五，黄裳，元吉。Yellow lower garment. Sublime good fortune.
已经在重要位置或重要角色上时，越要保持谦和有礼。六五居中，黄为土的正色——这是坤卦最尊贵的位置，但以柔居之。你的温和不是软弱，而是真正的力量——以柔克刚的姿态会让你赢得最大的尊重和成就。
When you find yourself in a position of importance, the more central your role, the more graceful and humble you should be. The fifth line is centered, and yellow is Earth's true color — this is Kūn's most honored place, yet held with softness. Your gentleness isn't weakness — it's the real source of power. A soft approach that overcomes the hard one will earn you the deepest respect and the greatest results.
上六，龙战于野，其血玄黄。Dragons fighting in the wilderness. Their blood is dark and yellow.
长期忍让积累的不满即将爆发，坤土到极处，阴盛逼阳——土本克水，但阴凝到极点反而引来乾龙的正面冲突，正面冲突会让双方都受伤。这种情况下硬碰硬没有赢家。寻找退路、找人调解、或者主动让一步，比赌气重要。
Resentment that has been swallowed for too long is about to break out, Kūn's Earth at its extreme, yin so dominant it crowds the yang — earth normally checks water, but yin congealed to its limit instead draws the dragon of Qián into open conflict — and a head-on clash will hurt both sides. Hard against hard has no winner here. Look for an exit, find a mediator, or be the one to give ground first — that matters more than holding your line in anger.
