坤上 · 兑下Earth over Lake
卦辞The Judgement
临：元亨，利贞；至于八月有凶。Lín. Sublimely prosperous and smooth. Favorable to be steadfast and upright. By the eighth month, there will be misfortune.
扩张和上升的时机来了——需要主动行动、把握机会。坤土在上属土居西南——土生金，大地在泽水之上，居高临下地滋养着泽水。这是土生金最直接的格局：上面给资源，下面接得住。但要注意时间窗口——所谓“至于八月有凶”，，意味着这种好运不会永远，要在窗口期内尽快推进。
A time of expansion and rising has arrived — you should take initiative and seize the opening. Kūn's Earth above is element Earth, in the southwest — Earth generates Metal, the great land sitting above the lake, nourishing it from on high. This is the most direct image of Earth generating Metal: resource given from above, received below. But mind the window: "by the eighth month there will be misfortune" — means this good run won't last forever. Push forward while the window is open.
大象The Image
《象》曰：泽上有地，临；君子以教思无穷，容保民无疆。Earth rests above the lake: the image of Approach. The noble one, accordingly, teaches with inexhaustible thought and protects the people without limit.
六爻The Six Lines
初九，咸临，贞吉。Approaching with resonance. Steadfast and upright: good fortune.
用真诚的态度去推进事业，路自然顺。这时主动出击、扩大影响是正确的——不要因为礼貌而退让，正道之上的进取是被认可的。
Move things forward with sincerity, and the road opens naturally. This is the time to take initiative and widen your influence — don't hold back out of mere politeness; advancing along the right path is what's called for.
九二，咸临，吉无不利。Approaching with resonance. Good fortune. Nothing is unfavorable.
用感动的方式去推进，结果是好的——，所有事都顺利。但不要因为顺利就放松——保持谦逊和警觉，才能持续。
Advancing by winning hearts, the outcome is good — everything flows. But don't relax because it's flowing; staying humble and alert is what lets it last.
六三，甘临，无攸利；既忧之，无咎。Approaching with sweet words. Nothing is favorable. Once one grieves over it, no fault.
用甜言蜜语应付场面，没有实际行动支撑——，这种状态不能长久。一旦自己警醒、改变方式，就还来得及。
Getting by on sweet talk with no real action behind it — this can't last. The moment you wake up to it and change your approach, there's still time.
六四，至临，无咎。Approaching at close hand. No fault.
亲自到第一线，与人面对面交流——坤土初爻，大地刚接到泽水——亲自下去，才能润到每一寸，这种做法没有问题。亲力亲为反而能获得更多支持。
Going to the front line yourself, dealing with people face to face — Kūn's Earth, first line, the land just receiving the lake-water — only by going down yourself can you moisten every inch — no problem here. Hands-on presence actually earns you more support.
六五，知临，大君之宜，吉。Approaching with wisdom. Fitting for a great prince. Good fortune.
用智慧和远见来管理——坤土居中，土德厚实——不亲自动手，但知道哪块地需要什么，不亲力亲为每件事，但能识人用人。这是真正适合大格局的领导方式。
Leading with wisdom and foresight — Kūn's Earth centered, the virtue of earth solid and thick — not working with your own hands, but knowing what each patch of ground needs — not doing everything yourself, but knowing how to read people and place them well. This is the way of leadership truly fit for a large undertaking.
上六，敦临，吉，无咎。Approaching with generous warmth. Good fortune. No fault.
用敦厚、宽容的姿态对待所有人——坤土到极处，厚土无边——不用力，但万物都在上面长，表面上像是退到了幕后，其实影响力一直都在。这种“不动声色”的带领最高级。
Treat everyone with generous, magnanimous warmth — Kūn's Earth at its extreme, the thick earth without bound — it exerts no force, yet all things grow upon it — on the surface you've stepped into the background, but your influence is still there throughout. This kind of quiet, understated leading is the highest grade.
