坤上 · 乾下Earth over Heaven
卦辞The Judgement
泰：小往大来，吉，亨。Tài. The small departs, the great arrives. Good fortune. Prosperous and smooth.
天时地利人和的好时机——上下通达、内外协调、机会涌现。坤地在上往下降——天地一交，万物通泰。这是最顺畅的格局：阴柔的承载从上面护着。该积极进取、扩张事业、把握机遇。但要记得：“泰极生否”——越是顺利，越要为可能的转折做准备。
Right timing, right ground, right people — a season of opening. Kūn's Earth above descends — Heaven and Earth meet, and all things flow freely. This is the smoothest configuration: the yielding yin bearing shelters it from above. Things connect up and down, inside and outside align, opportunities appear. This is the moment for active engagement, expansion, and bold moves. But remember: "when Advance reaches its peak, Hindrance begins" — the smoother things are, the more you should be preparing for the eventual turn.
大象The Image
《象》曰：天地交，泰；后以财成天地之道，辅相天地之宜，以左右民。Heaven and earth commune: the image of Peace. The ruler, accordingly, shapes and completes the course of heaven and earth, aids what is fitting in them, and so guides the people.
六爻The Six Lines
初九，拔茅茹，以其汇；征吉。Pulling up the reeds, their roots come together. Going forward: good fortune.
好运开始来临，往往是带着同伴一起来的。这时主动出击、积极行动，会有连锁性的好事。一个人的好运很快会带动一片人的好运。
When good fortune comes, it often arrives with companions in tow. This is the time to act boldly: one person's win triggers a chain. One person's good luck quickly becomes the good luck of a group.
九二，包荒，用冯河，不遐遗；朋亡，得尚于中行。Embracing the wastelands. Fording the river. Not abandoning the distant. Cliques dissolve. One walks the central path.
气度要大——能容人、能用人、能不计较小是非。在顺境中容易居功自傲，但越是这时越要保持包容和开阔。
Be large in spirit — able to take in others, to use others, to overlook small grievances. In a good run, ego inflates easily; precisely now you have to keep your reach broad and your room open.
九三，无平不陂，无往不复；艰贞无咎，勿恤其孚，于食有福。No level ground without slope, no going without return. To endure hardship while remaining steadfast: no fault. Do not worry over your trust — there is good fortune in your food.
顺境里也要清醒——再平的路也会有上下起伏，再好的运势也会有回落。这时不必焦虑，但要做好艰难时刻的准备。守正，福气就跟着。
Even in good times stay clear-headed: the smoothest road has its rises and dips, and the strongest run will fall back. Don't panic about it, but prepare for the harder time ahead. Stay true, and the blessings stay too.
六四，翩翩，不富，以其邻不戒以孚。Fluttering, fluttering. Not affluent. With one's neighbors, no need for warnings — they trust.
看似富足其实虚浮，看似亲近其实各怀心思。六四阴爻进入坤卦——土虽厚，但阴气开始上升，表面的和气流于形式。这时候不要被表面的“和气”骗了——要看清谁是真心、谁是假意。
What looks abundant is actually thin; what looks close is actually each working their own angle. The fourth line, yin, enters Kūn — the earth is thick, but the yin-energy begins to rise, and the surface harmony drifts into mere form. Don't be fooled by the surface harmony — see clearly who is sincere and who is just keeping appearances.
六五，帝乙归妹，以祉元吉。King Yi marries off his sister. This brings blessing — sublime good fortune.
处在尊位也要谦下——六五阴爻居坤中，土德最厚——尊贵的土，把好处分给身边的一草一木，把好处分给身边的人、不独享、不专断。这种姿态会让你在巅峰时获得真正的支持。
Even at the top, stay humble — the fifth line, yin, in the middle of Kūn, the virtue of earth at its thickest — the noble earth shares its bounty with every blade of grass nearby — give the benefits to those around you, don't hoard, don't dictate. This posture is what earns you real loyalty at your highest moment.
上六，城复于隍；勿用师，自邑告命，贞吝。The wall returns to the moat. Do not use the army. Make decrees of self-blame to your own town. Steadfastness: regret.
盛极而衰的转折点到了。上六阴爻在坤之极——土崩了，城墙塌回壕沟里。这时硬撑或扩张只会加速崩塌——接受现实、收缩战线、保住核心，才是聪明之举。
The peak has tipped over; the turn from boom to bust has come. The top line, yin, at the extreme of Kūn — the earth crumbles, the city wall falls back into the moat. Trying to push or expand now only speeds the collapse. Accept the new reality, pull back the lines, protect the core — that's the smart move.
