巽上 · 坎下Wind over Water
卦辞The Judgement
涣：亨，王假有庙，利涉大川，利贞。Huàn. Prosperous and smooth. The king brings his virtue to the temple. Favorable to cross great rivers. Favorable to be steadfast and upright.
正在面对涣散、瓦解、人心散乱的局面。坎水在下属水居北方，巽木在上属木居东南——风吹在水面上，水波被吹散。水生木，风把水吹成水汽，水汽滋养了风——涣散中也在转化，散不是消失，是换了一种形态。要主动去凝聚——可能用精神信仰、共同目标、仪式感、强力领导。涣散是必经的，但要在涣散中重新建立连接。
You face a state of scattering, breaking apart, hearts gone astray. The lower trigram Kǎn is Water, element Water, in the north; the upper trigram Xùn is Wood, element Wood, in the southeast — wind blowing across the water's face, the ripples scattered. Water generates Wood: the wind turns water into vapor, and the vapor nourishes the wind — in scattering there is also transformation; to scatter is not to vanish, but to change form. The cure is active gathering — through shared belief, common purpose, ritual, or strong leadership. The scattering must come, but new ties must be built in the very midst of it.
大象The Image
《象》曰：风行水上，“涣”；先王以享于帝立庙。Wind moves over the water: the image of Dispersion. The ancient kings, accordingly, made offerings to the Supreme and raised temples.
六爻The Six Lines
初六，用拯马壮吉。Engaged in rescue with a strong horse. Good fortune.
用强健的马来拯救（涣散）——坎水初爻，水刚开始散——在散乱开始时主动出击、建立秩序，吉，吉。在散乱开始时主动出击、建立秩序。
Using the strong horse to rescue (the dispersal) — Kǎn's Water, first line, the water just beginning to scatter — at the first sign, take initiative and set order in place — good fortune. At the first sign of scattering, take initiative and set order in place.
九二，涣奔其机，悔亡。In the scattering, run for a place of support. Regret vanishes.
在涣散中找到自己的依靠（机）——坎水中唯一的阳爻——乱中要找定锚点，悔意消失，悔意消失。乱中要找定锚点。
Finding one's footing in the dispersal — the one yang line within Kǎn — in the chaos one needs an anchor, and the regret dissolves — regret dissolves. Even in chaos one needs an anchor.
六三，涣其躬，无悔。Scattering one's selfishness. No regret.
涣散自己——坎水到三爻，水流散了——把自己的小我放下，没有悔，把自己的小我放下。能做到这一步，没有悔。心思要放在更大的格局上。
Letting go of the private self — Kǎn's Water at the third line, the current scattered — setting down the small ego, and no regret — letting go of one's small ego. The one who can reach this state has no regret. Put thought on the larger picture.
六四，涣其群，元吉；涣有丘，匪夷所思。Scattering one's faction. Sublime good fortune. The scattering forms a mound. This is beyond what ordinary people think.
涣散自己原来的小圈子——巽风初爻，风刚开始吹——大吉，涣散到形成新的山丘，更大的格局，大吉。涣散到形成新的山丘（更大的格局）——是非常人能想到的。
Breaking up one's old small circle — Xùn's Wind, first line, the wind just beginning to blow — scattering until it forms a great mound, a wider whole — great good fortune. Scattering until it forms a great mound (a wider whole) — this is not what an ordinary person could conceive.
九五，涣汗其大号，涣王居，无咎。Scattering as the sweat pours, the great call. Dispersing the king's stores. No fault.
用号召力把涣散的人心收拢——巽风居中，风力最大——像汗一样自然散开又收起，在尊位上能做到，没有过失，像汗一样自然散开又收起。在尊位上能做到这点，没有过失。
Calling the people back together at the scattering point — Xùn's Wind centered, the wind at its strongest — like sweat releasing then drawing back, doable from the high place, no fault — like sweat releasing then drawing back. To do this from the high place is no fault.
上九，涣其血去逖出，无咎。Scattering one's blood. Get out, keep a distance, go away. No fault.
涣散掉自己的鲜血（伤痛）——巽风到极处，风把一切都吹远了——远离伤害，能放下旧伤才能真正前进，远离伤害。能放下旧伤的人才能真正前进。
Letting go of one's old wounds — Xùn's Wind at its extreme, the wind blowing all of it far away — keeping clear of harm; one who releases the old hurt can truly move on — keeping a distance from danger. The one who can release the old hurt can truly move forward.
