卦辞The Judgement
中孚：豚鱼吉，利涉大川，利贞。Zhōng Fú. Pigs and fishes — good fortune. Favorable to cross great rivers. Favorable to be steadfast and upright.
重在内心的诚信。巽木在上属木居东南——泽上有风，风吹过水面，水起波纹回应风。金克木，泽（金）克风（木），但这里的克是感应——风吹水动，真诚的互动不需要言语。真诚发自内心、贯穿言行——能感动他人、能化解矛盾、能成就大事。不需要技巧——纯粹的真心就是力量。
The whole weight is on inner sincerity. the upper trigram Xùn is Wood, element Wood, in the southeast — wind above the lake, blowing across the water, and the water rises in ripples to answer the wind. Metal checks Wood, the lake (Metal) checking the wind (Wood); but here the checking is resonance — wind stirs water, and a true exchange needs no words. Truthfulness from the heart, carried through in word and deed — it moves people, it dissolves conflict, it carries great work through. There is no need for technique — pure honest will is the strength itself.
大象The Image
《象》曰：泽上有风，中孚；君子以议狱缓死。Wind above the lake: the image of Inner Truth. The noble one, accordingly, deliberates over legal cases and stays the death penalty.
六爻The Six Lines
初九，虞吉，有它不燕。With ease and confidence: good fortune. Seeking something else: no peace.
做好准备、谨慎选择——，吉。但有其他干扰会不安。专一守心，才能稳。
Doing the necessary preparation, choosing carefully — good fortune. But other distractions break the calm. Single-heartedness brings steadiness.
九二，鸣鹤在阴，其子和之；我有好爵，吾与尔靡之。A crane calling from a hidden place. Its young respond. "I have good wine — let us share it together."
鹤鸟在阴暗处叫，幼鸟应和——，分享美酒，与你一起品尝。真诚的连接不需要张扬，自有回应。
The crane calls in the shade, the young answer — sharing the good wine with you. The true bond does not need a display; it has its own answer.
六三，得敌，或鼓或罢，或泣或歌。Confronts an adversary. Now drumming, now resting; now weeping, now singing.
遇到对手——，有人鼓有人罢、有人哭有人歌——情绪起伏不定。这种状态下要稳住自己。
Meeting a rival — some drum, some quit; some weep, some sing — emotions all over. In this state, hold yourself steady.
六四，月几望，马匹亡，无咎。The moon is nearly full. The pair of horses, one lost. No fault.
月亮快圆了（接近圆满）——巽风初爻，风刚起——失去搭档但没事，该独立时要敢于独立，失去搭档但没事。该独立的时候要敢于独立。
The moon is almost full (nearing perfection) — Xùn's Wind, first line, the wind just rising — a partner lost, but no fault; when the moment calls for going alone, go alone — losing a partner, but no fault. When the moment calls for going on alone, dare to go on alone.
九五，有孚挛如，无咎。Innermost sincerity links another, hand in hand. No fault.
用真诚紧紧相连——巽风居中，风力最柔最广——没有过失，发自内心的信任最稳固，没有过失。这种发自内心的信任最稳固。
Sincerity binding people tight, hand in hand — Xùn's Wind centered, the wind at its softest and widest — no fault, the trust from a true heart the most lasting bond — no fault. The trust that comes from a true heart is the most lasting bond.
上九，翰音登于天，贞凶。A cock's crow rises to Heaven. Steadfastness: misfortune.
鸡飞上天还在叫——巽风到极处，风飘了——空有声音没有实质，守正都凶，空有声音没有实质。守正都凶——华而不实终不能持久。
The cock has flown into the sky still crowing — Xùn's Wind at its extreme, the wind drifting off — sound without substance; even holding firm cannot help — sound without substance. Even holding firm cannot help — show without depth cannot last.
